Navigating her mental health challenges since the age of 10, she spent years grappling with a dual identity: her Pakistani heritage, and her Canadian surroundings. It became a constant struggle to honour her heritage, while wrangling with the urge to rebel and assimilate with her Canadian friends.

While dealing with internal struggles, she wanted to be successful and become a shining example as the eldest daughter of immigrant parents. This created an unintentional pressure-cooker.
Support for navigating this minefield was limited – and still is in many ways. But, when she finally mustered up the courage to find a therapist and ask for help, what she learned changed her life.

That’s why, years later, Natasha entered the field of psychology. She wanted to change the narrative around mental health for her fellow first- and second-generation immigrant children growing up in the West.

All our therapists undergo supervision and continuous training, ensuring they stay at the forefront of professional development.

Language should never be a barrier. Sessions are available in English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Farsi, Pashto, Urdu/Hindi, Punjabi, Arabic and more.

At Inner Voice Therapy, our care is grounded in research and provided in various languages. Our tools are tailored to incorporate your cultural values, offering a space for you to share your story and find relief from silent suffering.

It takes work to identify the conditioning and patterns that no longer serve you and to discover your true self. But when you commit to understanding your identity, beyond the labels, you finally start to feel in control. You begin to see yourself as an individual proudly shaped by your heritage, instead of feeling obligated to conform to the demands of others.

What sets us apart is not just our dedication to your wellbeing, but we deeply care for our clinicians. We recognize their mental well-being as crucial. By nurturing their emotional health, we ensure the highest quality care.

This integrates all parts of who you are, based on your values, boundaries, and vision for your future.
